Two thousand and five hundred is their number…the whole world already knows about their story…they are on a hunger strike since twenty one days…Two others have been striking for seventy days…they eat nothing and they are surviving on their hope that someone will react to the message that they are sending out…they are the Palestinian prisoners…some of them have been in prisoner for more than thirty years while others are sentenced for hundreds of years.

The beginning of this week witnessed a political storm between Prime Minister Netanyahu’s men and former Israeli security official Yuval Diskin – Former head of Shabak – Israeli Security Service. In Stockholm it happened…i was with another Palestinian from Jerusalem and we met another two amazing girls from Gaza…it was shocking in the beginning to see those who we don’t see usually…those who we pray for every-time Israel attacks Gaza…those who come from a place that became lately the first line of defense in the face of the Israeli occupation and siege…those who lost one thousand brothers, sisters and parents in three days when Israel decided to bring its security by attacking civilians that live in some square kilometers in what is known as Gaza.
Stockholm Internet Forum 2012: A Diverse place with a lot to learn
Stockholm Internet forum is the place to be. I’m very happy to have been part of this diverse gathering and to have met all the interesting people that were part of this conference.
Limitation and censorship on Internet were one of the main issues that seemed to puzzle the different panels that were part of the conference. Is the government allowed to block Internet usage ever? Or are they allowed to block it during riots? Why are government creating mind walls to block citizens from having a mind dialogue? I

Stockholm Internet Freedom Conference started Wednesday’s morning with an opening address made by Mr. Carl Bildt, Minister for Sweden Foreign Affairs. Mr Carl addressed Sweden’s involvement in the development of Internet and discussed the restriction on the use of Internet in the world.

Living in the Palestinian way..trying to understand it
One of the hardest things that one cannot easily accept is the denial of his or her existence or their country’s existence even though the identity exists, the land exists and the people are living on it day by day. One of the hardest things that i could not understand is how different i find i am from others who accompany me in the journeys i have from time to time. It took me some time to understand such differences and why is it always hard to understand the place i come from.
Understanding the current Israeli Strategy – Ignoring reality rather than ending a long occupation
Prime minister Netanyahu seems to be far away from closing any deal with the Palestinians. Netanyahu’s strategy of directing the conflict rather than solving it seems to be working for him but will it save him forever?
It is clear now that the current American administration is taking side with the current Israeli government. There is no desire in going into any kind of argument with Israel’s Prime minister who can easily pull the strings and let the Jewish lobby move up and down to affect the whole presidential campaign in the United States.
