In the last twenty four hours Israel and Syria were sending messages to each other explaining what kind of war they are expecting and which reactions would happen before, through, and after a possible war between the two states.

The situation in the Middle East keeps on developing towards the worst. Iraq is still in war although many try to convince the world that democracy has been achieved. Afghanistan is under attack and nothing until this moment has been achieved in order to say that the situation is becoming better. The Israeli Palestinian conflict is similar to the situation which we call silence before the storm. Israeli airstrikes resulted in killing at least four Palestinians in Gaza in the last 24 hours. One of those who were killed was a 15 years old boy and many were trapped under the ruins of the buildings which were destroyed. The Palestinian movements reacted by firing more than nine missiles into the Israeli areas.

The situation began to develop after the first Israeli attempt to assassinate a leader of one of the Palestinian movements claiming that he was on his way to launch missiles into Israel. The Palestinians reacted by firing back then Israel attacked Gaza strip again leaving another three Palestinians killed and several wounded. Read more…

Recently the prisoner’s exchange which is being negotiated between Israel and the Palestinians became an interest for both sides. Since the establishment of Israel, a conflict started between the latter and the Palestinians. Israel decided to admit according to the International Law that the 1967 occupied lands are considered occupied by the Israelis too. More than eighty seven states participated in Gaza support conference which was held yesterday in Sharm Elshekh. The conference resulted in bringing more than five milliard dollars to support the institutions of the Palestinian Authority and to rebuild Gaza after the huge destruction which was caused by the Israeli last war on it. Tsipi Levni, who is the leader of Kadema, made it clear to Bibi Netanyahu that she will not join his government without admitting a two states solution with the Palestinians. Netanyahu responded by asking her whether she really wants to give the Palestinians a state with control on borders, army, and a freedom to make alliances with states like Iran. According to him it is impossible to discuss the possibility of holding negotiations for a two states solution currently.
