Al Rai Kuwaiti newspaper reported that Israel is preparing itself to attack Hezbullah targets inside Syria. According to the newspaper, Western sources stated that Israel is increasing its army forces on its northern border with Syria and Lebanon. It seems that the current tension is not enough between Israel and Lebanon. After his meeting with Israel Defense minister Ehud Barak, Gates seemed to agree that Syria is providing Hezbullah with missiles and scuds. Gates commented saying: “Syria and Iran are providing Hezbullah with rockets and missiles of ever-increasing capabilities,” and that “Hezbullah has far more rockets and missiles than most governments in the world.”

The situation in the Middle East keeps on developing towards the worst. Iraq is still in war although many try to convince the world that democracy has been achieved. Afghanistan is under attack and nothing until this moment has been achieved in order to say that the situation is becoming better. Israeli airstrikes resulted in killing at least four Palestinians in Gaza in the last 24 hours. One of those who were killed was a 15 years old boy and many were trapped under the ruins of the buildings which were destroyed. The Palestinian movements reacted by firing more than nine missiles into the Israeli areas.

The situation began to develop after the first Israeli attempt to assassinate a leader of one of the Palestinian movements claiming that he was on his way to launch missiles into Israel.
