Iranian threat…an Israeli strategy to gain time for other causes?
It is still not clear whether we will witness an armed confrontation this year between Iran and the West or not. Analysts continue to write and talk about this matter while no one can give a real clear answer. There are many ongoing events which effect on the choices that the West and Israel have in order to prevent Iran from moving forward in its projects. The Iranians continue to defend their position by stating that it is legitimate to obtain nuclear capabilities especially that there is no proof for any kind of Iranian intentions to obtain nuclear weapons.

In the last week the Israeli main media outlets made a huge campaign to talk about the possible Israeli Iranian confrontation, the Israeli army held trainings within the Israeli cities to learn how to face a possible Iranian reaction that would include launching tens of rockets on Israeli cities, a report was published about trainings that the Israeli air force held in Italy to learn how to target Iranian nuclear projects.

Israel builds settlements in the West Bank, the PLO is preparing for September declaration and a possible Israeli Iranian confrontation in a couple of months
The Israeli Ministry of Housing and Construction opened a new project to build 6,900 new units in the settlements of the West Bank. Betar Eleet, Kerni Shomron are from the settlements that the building will take place at. The new units will be built in the 1967 occupied lands and are considered illegal and an obstacle in the way to reach any peace talks.

Deputy of Israeli Prime Minister, Silvan Shalom said today that Israel would launch a new military operation in Gaza. Israel prepares itself for both Peace Talks and a War in the Region
Al Rai Kuwaiti newspaper reported that Israel is preparing itself to attack Hezbullah targets inside Syria.
