Death of an Activist in Gaza by Salafists

As Gaza mourns the death of Vittorio Arrigoni, the Italian activist and long standing pro-Palestinian advocate, hundreds gather at the candlelight vigil [singlepic id=522 w=320 h=240 float=right]organized in his honor. Back in the West Bank, foreign peacekeepers and activists were reported to have marched to a house of mourning in El Bireh as a show of support for their colleague.

Vittorio Arrigoni was a 36 year-old activist working for the ISM (International Solidarity Movement), well-known for his dedication and commitment to the Palestinian cause, the young man’s life was cut short as he was about to return to Italy. But let’s take a closer at the man who for his beliefs paid the ultimate price.

Gaza Stay Human – Vittorio Arrigoni/ Introduction by Ilan Pappe – Book Review

Gaza Stay Human is an amazing book that introduces the twenty-two day Israeli offensive against Gaza strip in December 2008 and January 2009.
