Some are waiting for the “historical” decisions that the Palestinian authority leadership is supposed to declare in a couple of days. Everyone involved in the current Israel-Palestine peace negotiations waited with bated breath for the 26th of September – the day the 10-month Israeli freeze on settlement building expired. Would Netanyahu extend the moratorium as a gesture of sincerity towards peace negotiations? Would Abbas be able to save face among the Palestinians if he didn’t? The seventy settlers were given permission by the Israeli police to demonstrate in the Arab neighborhood with Israeli flags. The Palestinians considered this action an assault on the Palestinian presence in the city of Jerusalem and the result is a beginning of clashes which are taking place now and would expand to other parts of the city.

Rajmohan Gandhi visits the Palestinian territories

The grandson of the Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi has visited the Palestinian territories to participate in organized tours made to the Palestinian villages [singlepic id=162 w=320 h=240 float=right]and to see the Israeli occupation in his own eyes.
After visiting several Palestinian villages which are under Israeli siege, Rajmohan Gandhi stated that he believes the Israeli settlements and separation wall will disappear.
