According to Rabbi Marvin Heir, Dean and Founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, those are the six magic words that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas must utter before “there can ever be peace in the Middle East.” Saying them to his people and the rest of the world is supposedly the key that opens the door to negotiations with Israel. I’m against the Israeli reality, or ignorance, or humiliating racism. I have nothing to say for it or to justify it. I don’t think I deserve to live any more than a Palestinian deserves, or anyone who is not Jewish, for that matter. I am not different and definitely not better or more worthy of a life.
