Al Rai Kuwaiti newspaper reported that Israel is preparing itself to attack Hezbullah targets inside Syria. According to the newspaper, Western sources stated that Israel is increasing its army forces on its northern border with Syria and Lebanon. While U.S officials have criticized advertisements which were made in favor of Israel’s position on Jerusalem, the Syrian President Bashar Alassad is visiting Egypt to discuss many matters including the possibility of a war between Syria and Israel.
The supporting advertisements were made by the president of the World Jewish Congress Ronald Lauder and Nobel peace prize Laureate Elie Wiesel. The American officials agreed that such advertisements are not a wise move. Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu stated tonight that any possible Palestinian state in the future will have to be surrounded from the east and the west by the Israeli army. According to Netanyahu the “Palestinian state” will also have Israeli army soldiers on its borders with Jordan in order to prevent weapons smuggling into the West Bank. In his speech he said nothing about Gaza as a part of the Future Palestinian state but assured that Israel will never make another mistake by leaving the Palestinian state without an Israeli surveillance. Israeli and Egyptian leaders have met in Cairo to discuss US-backed efforts to relaunch peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

Obama invited Netanyahu to the White House after the Israeli PM landed in the US [Reuters]
The latest attempt by the US president to salvage the Middle East peace talks appears to have come to nothing after his meeting with Israel’s prime minister ended with only a brief statement from the White House.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was set to tell U.S. President Barack Obama that he was “very serious” about wanting to advance peace talks with the Palestinians during the two leaders’ scheduled meeting on Monday.
The last-minute scheduling of Netanyahu’s White House meeting, after Israeli officials said over the past several weeks that Netanyahu hoped to see Obama, was widely seen as a sign of strained relations between the two leaders. Read more…

The five conditions are a recognition of Israel as a Jewish state, an agreement from the Palestinians that a peace treaty declares the end of all claims against Israel, no Palestinian refugees are to be allowed to return to Israeli territory, a demilitarized Palestinian state, and an International recognition of the demilitarization.
