Nationalism and Islamists in the Arab world: Similarities, Differences and Mistakes
While looking at the current situation of the Palestinian people, one can easily see that there is a lack of leadership that is needed to continue the way to [singlepic id=249 w=320 h=240 float=right] freedom and independence. The reasons may vary between the difficulty in changing the liberation movements into political parties and the failure of the programs which Fatah and Hamas suggested in order to get an independent Palestinian state.
I am not interested in discussing the negotiations program or even the armed resistance choice since the current situation proves whether any of them
Political Thought and Criticism in the Arab World
As many of you know in the past the Arab peoples were not given a chance to express their opinion and thoughts freely. Today some say that the[singlepic id=95 w=320 h=240 float=right] situation is changing towards a better one and others consider the situation still not good enough to say that there is a freedom of speech in the Arab world. It is important to say that the situation is not the same in the whole Arab countries and that there is a kind of knowledge which the Arab peoples are obtaining because of the globalization and education which many are given a chance to get today.
