The stars of the Middle East’s longest running two state play features the reliably myopic Israeli and Palestinian leadership-amnesiacs and their supportive minions — always willing to remember what hasn’t worked and forget what has.
Forty four years of off and on Israeli and Palestinian negotiations, surrounded by 63 years of battles with neighboring countries and the militant wings of various Palestinian groups, have contributed to inelastic memories and perceptions. Changes are seen as illusory or unsustainable.

After sixty-three years of occupation and conflict, Israel still does not understand what is the cost of its daily occupation of the Palestinian lands and continues to go in the wrong way to gain temporary security benefits.
The recent Palestinian efforts to bid for a Full Membership state at the United Nations resulted in a wide International diplomatic movement that most of it is in favor of supporting a Palestinian state declaration. On the other side a different kind of movement is going on; a movement that offered everything possible to prevent the Palestinian leadership from bidding for an International recognition of the Palestinians right of living in a state of their own.

Palestinians mark the Sixty-Two Nakbah anniversary with more Israeli attacks on the West Bank and Gaza
While the Palestinians live the sixty-two Nakbah anniversary, the Israeli settlers continue to attack Palestinians in the West Bank. Palestinian teenager Aysar [singlepic id=190 w=320 h=240 float=right] Al – Zaban was shot by an Israeli settler while he was tending his family’s land at Mazra’a Al Sharqia village near Ramalla. The fifteen years old boy was killed although he was not even involved in the stones throwing in the area. In Gaza, a sixty-five years old man was shot by the Israeli army who claimed that he was trying to walk towards the security siege which the Israelis have put around the Gaza strip.
