Yesterday Dubai police presented several videos showing ten men and one woman who were involved in the assassination of Hamas leader Al-Mabhouh. According to Dubai police, the 11 assassins left Dubai and are currently under an international hunt to try to catch them.
Other News sources talked about two men who were handed from Jordan to Dubai because they are suspected of being involved in the assassination. One of them is said to be a security officer in the Palestinian authorities. A spokesman of President Mahmoud Abbas denied the accusations and claimed that Hamas is suffering from serious security breaches. Read more…

In the last twenty four hours Israel and Syria were sending messages to each other explaining what kind of war they are expecting and which reactions would happen before, through, and after a possible war between the two states.

Israeli airstrikes resulted in killing at least four Palestinians in Gaza in the last 24 hours. One of those who were killed was a 15 years old boy and many were trapped under the ruins of the buildings which were destroyed. The Palestinian movements reacted by firing more than nine missiles into the Israeli areas.

The situation began to develop after the first Israeli attempt to assassinate a leader of one of the Palestinian movements claiming that he was on his way to launch missiles into Israel. The Palestinians reacted by firing back then Israel attacked Gaza strip again leaving another three Palestinians killed and several wounded. Read more…

One never knows what to say about the on again, off again negotiations to free Gilad Shalit, an abducted Israeli soldier, and the seemingly unending media stories announcing an imminent deal.

As part of a prisoner exchange for Shalit, the Islamist militant group is reportedly demanding that Israel release Barghouti, who is serving five consecutive life sentences in an Israeli prison for his role in terror attacks. The London-based Arabic language daily Al Hayat reported Wednesday that the Hamas leadership is split over a recent Israeli proposal that could result in a prisoner swap aimed at securing the release of captive Israel Defense Forces soldier Gilad Shalit, channel 10 reported.
Shalit was captured by Gaza militants in a cross border raid in 2006. Hamas, the rulers of the Gaza Strip, have demanded the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel in exchange for the Shalit’s freedom. Read more…

Kadima’s No. 2 MK consults legal experts on options for promotion of his plan for Palestinian statehood

Knesset Member Shaul Mofaz (Kadima), has appealed to legal experts outside of Israel to examine the possibility of holding meetings with Hamas operatives, as part of his plan for Palestinian statehood.

Although the negotiations between the two sides took a lot of time through Egypt, it seems that a new Cease-Fire is about to start.             Recently, many efforts were made by the Arab countries in order to reach reconciliation between both Fatah and Hamas.             The future of any kind of achievement in the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians is not clear.                 Tonight Israel declared a cease-fire from one side in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that the Israel army achieved victory in its war and the Hamas still does not recognize the damage that was caused for it. Prime Minister Olmert also said that this cease-fire will not include the withdraw of the Israeli army from Gaza and that these forces will stay until Israel sees that Hamas will not launch missiles on the south. Prime Minister Olmert said that if the Palestinian movements will attack any part of the south of Israel, the army will continue its actions in Gaza. He also said that the decision of cease-fire came as a response to the Egyptian president Mubarak demand. Read more…

In one of her last statements, Tsipi Levni demanded from the Israeli leadership to reconsider the choice of invading Gaza to weaken Hamas power.
