The Palestinian authority plan to build new associations in order to empower its control and economy faces a lot of obstacles in its way to  success. The situation in the Middle East keeps on developing towards the worst. Iraq is still in war although many try to convince the world that democracy has been achieved. Afghanistan is under attack and nothing until this moment has been achieved in order to say that the situation is becoming better. Six Palestinians were killed in two separate incidents by the Israeli forces in Gaza and the West Bank. Three of the Palestinians were assassinated in Nablus at the West Bank. According to Israeli sources, Ghasan Abu Sharkh, Raed Sarkaji and Anan Suboh took part in the last attack which resulted in killing an Israeli settler in the West Bank. Read more…

Secretary Hillary Clinton made several statements in the last couple of days while visiting Israel and Egypt. Clinton started its tour by saying that it is impossible to accept the idea of putting any kind of Palestinian conditions before negotiating with Israel. Clinton also stated that Israel do not have any law background to use in order to freeze the ongoing settlement building since it already issued permissions for them.

However, Clinton stated that there are Israeli promises not to issue new permissions for building settlements in the future. Read more…

On last Wednesday, Congressman Robert Wexler, who is a supporter of Israel and a close political ally of President Obama, stated that he believes that Israel will say yes to settlement freeze. Since the establishment of Israel, a conflict started between the latter and the Palestinians. Israel decided to admit according to the International Law that the 1967 occupied lands are considered occupied by the Israelis too. More than eighty seven states participated in Gaza support conference which was held yesterday in Sharm Elshekh. The conference resulted in bringing more than five milliard dollars to support the institutions of the Palestinian Authority and to rebuild Gaza after the huge destruction which was caused by the Israeli last war on it.
