Brazil’s president has offered his backing for Tehran’s controversial nuclear programme.
Speaking at a joint news conference in the capital Brasilia on Monday after holding talks with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, his visiting Iranian counterpart, Luis Inacio Lula da Silva said Brazil backed Iran’s quest for “peaceful nuclear energy in full respect of international accords”.
He urged Ahmadinejad to “continue contacts with interested countries for a just and balanced solution on the nuclear issue in Iran”. Read more…

Recently Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu stated that Israel would accept the idea of an Israel Palestinian peace only after the latter agrees on five conditions which Netanyahu stated. The five conditions are a recognition of Israel as a Jewish state, an agreement from the Palestinians that a peace treaty declares the end of all claims against Israel, no Palestinian refugees are to be allowed to return to Israeli territory, a demilitarized Palestinian state, and an International recognition of the demilitarization. Although the negotiations between the two sides took a lot of time through Egypt, it seems that a new Cease-Fire is about to start. This term means the ability of one state to affect politically another’s behavior or interests through ideological or culture means. A couple of days ago, a young nineteen years old Palestinian from East Jerusalem tried to hit about fifteen Israeli soldiers with his car. According to the family of the young Kasem, he was planning to get engaged to his cousin but the family refused and therefore he decided to commit suicide. The Israeli intelligence and police preferred to accuse the young man of terrorism and considered this accident a terrorist attack on innocent Israeli civilians. However the discussion about whether it was an accident of suicide committed by a normal permanent resident or a terrorism action is not important at this moment. Read more…
