It is clear now that sooner or later the area will face a confrontation that is new of its kind. Today and after the arrival of the Arab spring that is bringing a change that will last for a long time and affect on many actors in the region, anything is possible.
There are four important factors that must be considered while trying to understand the next stage in the situation of the Middle East Post:
1. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
2. The ongoing change in the Arab regimes.
3. The Iranian – Western confrontation.
4. The trigger that is needed to start a new kind of confrontation.
Syria after Assad – how should Israel ensure its security?
As the popular revolt in Syria intensifies, its neighbours, especially Israel, are anxious about the implications of a possible regime change on regional[singlepic id=537 w=320 h=240 float=right] stability. Many analysts discuss this situation by assessing the identity of possible regime successors. However, since there is no way to make an accurate prediction in such a fluid situation, a better way to deal with the question of stability is to examine how the West can help satisfy people’s grievances, and thus maintain stability.
It may be difficult to grasp, but in the new quasi-democratic Middle East, political decisions are starting to reflect the people’s will. In Syria, most likely in the aftermath of a regime change, the new government will be weak, more vulnerable to outside interference, and will seek to satisfy the grievances that drove the popular revolt.

Tension is back to the scene between Israel and Lebanon

Through the exercise, the Israeli forces will check its preparations and abilities to face several possible dangers such as rocket attacks, the derailing of a train, and an attack on military buildings.

Common Interests Result in Negotiations
In a surprising declaration, Israel and Syria stated yesterday that they are having secret negotiations and planning to continue forward in it. The Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that his administration was planning for this since a year and that it is not related to the last scandal that accused him of corruption.
The Syrian President Bashar Alasad wanted the entire world to know about the negotiations through his politicians and the media even though that this could affect on his relations with Iran.
Beirut is Crying Again
Lebanon is living in war again but this time it is witnessing a war between its sons and daughters. The streets are closed again, the fire is in so many places, the victims are dying, and the situation is becoming worse.
After a long round of negotiations that brought nothing between the several Lebanese parties and groups, the situation exploded and turned into a street fight between the Lebanese that are fighting to prove who can be stronger and make decisions.
Shaul Mofaz: All the Choices should be kept on the Table in Facing Iran
In his last speech in Yale University, Shaul Mofaz said that the Iranian threat is becoming more serious every day and should not be neglected. Mofaz said that it is important that all the tools should be considered and kept if they are needed to be used.
The Israeli Minister said that the best tool that can be used now is the economical punishment or seize, but also time should be considered and the situation should not be left to become more dangerous.
