Iranian threat…an Israeli strategy to gain time for other causes?
It is still not clear whether we will witness an armed confrontation this year between Iran and the West or not. Analysts continue to write and talk about this matter while no one can give a real clear answer. There are many ongoing events which effect on the choices that the West and Israel have in order to prevent Iran from moving forward in its projects. The Iranians continue to defend their position by stating that it is legitimate to obtain nuclear capabilities especially that there is no proof for any kind of Iranian intentions to obtain nuclear weapons.

It seems that the Liberal thought is not interesting any more. Any solution that is suggested to solve international crises is seen as a weakness. Leaders nowadays prefer making statements that threat the other and think that what is called deterrence power and per-caution action are much better than going into diplomatic channels to find solutions. The U.S and Iran meet at Hormoz Strait
Iranian forces ended their ten days of military trainings in Hormoz channel with a launching of a developed missile called “Nour” that can reach long distances. The Iranian trainings were wide and took place in different places of the Arab Gulf. A US naval group entered the Strait of Hormoz as a reaction to the Iranian threats of closing the Hormoz channel at any time that the Iranian regime desires.

Israel builds settlements in the West Bank, the PLO is preparing for September declaration and a possible Israeli Iranian confrontation in a couple of months
The Israeli Ministry of Housing and Construction opened a new project to build 6,900 new units in the settlements of the West Bank. Betar Eleet, Kerni Shomron are from the settlements that the building will take place at. The new units will be built in the 1967 occupied lands and are considered illegal and an obstacle in the way to reach any peace talks.
