The decision to go to war that was made by the Israeli leadership should be analyzed in order to know the real reasons behind it and the results that the Israeli people was promised to achieve after war. The Israeli leadership stated in the beginning of the war on Gaza that Israel is acting to protect its citizens from the missiles that Hamas launches on the south of the state.

            The preparation to convince the public opinion that this war is important and will bring a long period of silence on the borders between Gaza and Israel was made by comparing Hamas with Hezbollah and by promising to make the same silence in the north a fact in the south. The Israeli government learned from the Lebanese Second War and Venograd Report and therefore it is trying to block the media from showing exactly what is going on in Gaza currently. This empowers the Israeli patriotic feeling to support the war on Gaza. However, the real new dangerous phenomenon is the consensus of the Israeli media, political analysts, and politicians in the beginning of the war that this step was important and compulsory. This phenomenon is changing now and will be more affected after the end of the war and the removal of the media block on the situation in Gaza.

            The Israeli leadership declaration of the war did not include real results that it wants to achieve after the end of it. This is also a change in the Israeli tactics in order to mind a failure in the end of the operation and to sell a fake victory easily to the Israeli people. The only object that the Israeli leadership talked about was in the beginning to destroy Hamas, then changed to stop the missiles, and after that changed to weaken Hamas, and soon will change to make a cease-fire with it. This explains the theory that says that Ideology and people can never be destroyed or changed with the use of force and war. Israeli sources said that hundreds of Hamas fighters were either killed or captured, but yesterday other Israeli sources said that from the two hundred Palestinians that were captured by the Israeli army only about thirty are real members of the Hamas movement. Something seems to be suspicious in the Israeli reports.

            The meanwhile results of the Israeli war on “Hamas” in Gaza is more than nine hundred fifty Palestinians killed that include more than four hundred children and women, and the Israeli- made new Palestinian generation that will grow up after ten or fifteen years and will belief again in the use of force and agendas similar to Hamas’s to revenge the death of their fathers and mothers. One other result is the empowerment of Hamas not only in Gaza but in the whole Arab world and even in western countries communities such as Europe. Another result is an International disagreement and condemnation of Israel’s actions such as the bombarding of the UNRWA school in Gaza that resulted in killing more than forty Palestinian civilians. This is the real result of the war that the Israeli leadership will bring to its people.

            The Israeli leadership is ignoring the Humanitarian Meter in which the Israeli war is causing the death of hundreds and the injury of thousands of Palestinian civilians in Gaza. However, the Israeli public opinion says that the missiles that are launched on the south are not bearable. The question is whether the Israeli leadership examined why people in Gaza are supporting Hamas and its attacks on Israel; People in Gaza have been under siege since the Hamas victory in the Palestinian elections which happened about three years ago. This people lost faith in the choice of Peace with Israel because they already lost everything they had; their families, their freedom, and even their basic needs such as food and gas.

            This war was a mistake from its beginning and continued to be mistake until today, therefore the Israeli leadership must stop it immediately and agree to go into a diplomatic solution to change the meanwhile situation in Gaza, the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza, and the Israeli people in the south.
