In politics one should be smart enough in order to survive the rules of the game. As you are used to hear politicians are supposed to be dirty players that are ready to use anything in their hands to achieve their goals and maintain their security. However from the other side this could be art and the ability to run this role could be called Art. A true leader whether he or she were running a political role, a community leadership, or even

 working in an organization or a company, should be ready to be changeable if the purpose is to succeed. Some people have this talent and can play while using it and wisely. Usually in any leadership council there is a kind of a competition between the members in order to prove who really affects and leads. The best way to succeed in such a council is first of all to reach the other side. The meaning is seize the opportunity of clarifying your opinion about your challengers and to make it clear for them that the way you act is not related to them personally.

It is normal to find out that people change and vary especially in their ideas, way of thinking, culture, and beliefs. It is fine to sit with someone that you may not agree with completely but it is important to find the way of reaching this person in order to convince him or her of believing in your ideas. However they don’t have to believe in what you say. At least you are committed to convince them that you respect them and is ready to listen to what they believe is the right. This is your first step in reaching, leading, and changing in a place of leadership.

This variety does not only exist in leadership challenges, but also is the reason for wars that started a long time ago between humans because of their beliefs, religions, cultures, backgrounds, and education. Imagine for example that you adopt a child from your enemy’s people and you raise and educate him according to your background. He will become one of your people and ready to fight his own people. This says that a human is meant to be changeable and therefore if you are talented enough you can change adults and children.

Diplomacy is about building relations with others and trying to solve obstacles with them by using speech, wisdom, and smartness. This means that diplomacy is not only between countries and in politicians, but could also be in neighborhoods, between a father and his son, and in a relationship.

Usually people feel that they lose and become less controlling if they confess to the other side that they respect them and ready to listen to, but the truth could be is that you are destroying the block that is preventing you from making the other side see the truth of what you are going through and what you believe in.
