Sitting on the remains of my home [singlepic id=239 w=320 h=240 float=right]
Feeling anything but warm
Trying to figure out why
Trying to pray oh My ….
I heard a voice across the sea
Telling me not to flee
Telling me … to hang on
Telling me… to stay strong
I looked with hope in my eyes
Searching for that voice that never dies
Hearing the sounds of a hundred cries
Asking for the boy with no home
Asking for the Palestinian that roams
The sky, the earth , looking for the Dome
Asking for the same Palestinian that roams
The sky, the earth , looking for Christ’s Tomb
The Palestinian that is now left with no land
The Palestinian with the memories long lost in the sand
I’m the boy still sitting on the remains of my home
Waiting for someone to come close
Waiting for the Arab leaders that chose
To sit quietly and negotiate with those
Who killed my mother, my father and took the lands
of those who lived here… but still hold hands
together they stand .. stronger they command
One day this little boy on the remains
Will grow stronger and collect the remains
Of a home… a land …A WATAN
And keep the blood flowing in our veins
