Tension is back to the scene between Israel and Lebanon

Israel’s security forces, Israel Police, the Israeli fire department, government offices and the National emergency management are all preparing to start wide [singlepic id=230 w=320 h=240 float=right] drill called Turning Point 4 starting from this Sunday until Wednesday. Through the exercise, the Israeli forces will check its preparations and abilities to face several possible dangers such as rocket attacks, the derailing of a train, and an attack on military buildings.
The Lebanese leaders responded by both criticizing Israel’s actions and also declaring a mobilizing of thousands of Hezbullah militants in the south of the Lebanon. Prime Minister Saad Hariri criticized Israel and wondered why would the latter go through such preparations and exercise instead of showing true intentions that would develop the peace process. Hezbullah leadership considered the Israeli exercise an Israeli attempts to find out its weak points that was attacked in the last war on Lebanon.
The Israeli preparations does not seem to be regular and indeed are made to imagine how would the situation be in Israel If it would face a wide attack from Iran, Hezbullah and Hamas. The Lebanese response shows that it is expecting anything from Israel including a war that would start without any former signs or warnings. Iran’s latest challenge with the West will definitely affect on any possible war between Lebanon and Israel. If the West decides to drop the diplomatic solution from the table then Iran and its allies will be in danger of being attacked by Israel whether publicly or through intelligence secret operations.
[singlepic id=231 w=320 h=240 float=left] Israel’s current indirect negotiations with the Palestinian Authority will also affect on its choices this summer. The Israeli Palestinian talks do not seem really promising and any declared failure in the talks will create more pressure on Israel. Such a scenario will push Israel to act in any possible way to get out from the pressure that it may face. Not only this but Israel’s belief in doing anything possible to protect its “deterrence” capabilities will push it to go to any kind of war exactly as it did in the past; Lebanon and Gaza’s last wars.
