Olmert is troubled…The last Israeli Palestinian Meeting.

In the last few days Ehud Olmert the Israeli Prime Minister was investigated about old cases that accuse him of corruption. The Israeli Police refused to give any information about the investigation and whether it includes anything new against Olmert.
From the other side Prime Minister Olmert and President Mahmood Abbas met together with both the Israeli and the Palestinian negotiations leaders Ahmad Kure’e and Tseepi Levni. The four discussed the details of the Hamas Israeli seize of fire that could be made with the help of the Egyptians.
Olmert said that Israel offered to stop any activities against Hamas in Gaza if there will be no attacks against Israel from Gaza. The Israeli Prime Minister promised Mahmoud Abbas to inform him about any new improvement that could occur between Israel and Hamas and promised that Israel will prevent any human crises in Gaza.
President George Bush is supposed to visit Israel again on May maybe for a last chance of pushing the negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians. The truth is that it will be hard to achieve anything between the both sides because of the difficulty of reaching an agreement between them concerning the sensitive cases such as the land, Jerusalem, the settlements in the West Bank, and the Refugees. Beside that the reality of what is going on the ground shows that things may go towards becoming worse.
Both of the Israeli and the Palestinian leaders are not strong enough to continue and decide hard decisions. They are not truly supported by a huge part of their people and even if they are they always try not to get involved in any discussion about the final cases because they are afraid of facing a huger demonstration of those who disagree with them from their people.
It is the same mistake that both of the leaderships are doing now: Time is going on without achieving anything and this at the end will bring us another surprising explosion that the people will do because they have been neglected for a long time.
