Obama and Netanyahu…who is the Man?
The latest development in the crises between Israel and the American administration is an incident that did not take place since a long time. The latest [singlepic id=154 w=320 h=240 float=right] meeting between President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu was different from any former meetings between an Israeli leader and the President of the United States.
Israel’s current government agenda contradicts with the whole world. President Obama’s administration realized that Israel is not willing to be clear regarding its stand from a true solution for its conflict with the Arabs. The Palestinian authority fulfilled all what was asking from her in the road map. Until today Israel refuses to fulfill the second part that includes a complete freeze of the settlements building in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Instead Israel continues to deny any Palestinian right in East Jerusalem that was occupied in 1967 and is considered occupied by the International community and most of the world countries.
President Obama is facing many threats in the Middle East. The latest reports from the command of the army states that Israel’s occupation of the Arab lands, refusal to develop the Peace process, and conflict with the Arabs are costing the United States a lot regarding its national security and the army troops. The United States is facing three major threats that must be dealt with in Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran. The United States support for Israel is the main reason for the creation of most of the extreme Jihadist movements and resistance movements through the Arab world and other places around the world.
The feeling that the United States support for Israel and injustice towards the Arabs was used by most of these organizations who became stronger and found many supporters for their claim. Without solving the Palestinian case, the United States and the West will continue to find anger in the Middle East.
Not only this but Israel’s refusal to accept anything while asking from the whole world including the United States to obey her and launch a wide attack against Iran made the situation become more complicated. Prime Minister Netanyahu has failed in directing the conflict as the former Israeli governments. This time Israel showed a different face that expresses clearly Israel’s position from any compromise for the sake of a peace agreement. The only thing that President Obama can do is to continue the pressure on Prime Minister Netanyahu’s government in order to achieve a real development in the peace process. The current Israeli government will never be ready to make any kind of compromise. Instead the Israeli government ministers are cursing Great Britain and President Obama for their demands.
The Israeli people must understand that the circumstances have changed and that what was occupied can never become a property. The will to keep everything will bring an expensive price that may be higher. The world today is convinced that the Palestinian case must be solved in order to achieve security in the whole region. The Palestinian diplomatic efforts and state building is bringing its result. Therefore the International community must continue to work to achieve justice and find a fair solution that will include security and equality…a solution that will also include justice for the Palestinian people that have been suffering since more than sixty years.
Radical Islam is taking over. The United States has stood by Isreal for decades and now we have a president who stands by idley and just lets Isreal be attacked. He has no backbone whatsoever. He is wrong in his actions. I am personally embarasses by how he has treated the prime minister of Isreal. Figures coming from a muslim president.
