Israel’s Policy…War Industry?

Since his first day in office and until this moment Prime Minister Benyamin [singlepic id=139 w=320 h=240 float=right] Netanyahu continues to push Israel into war. The failure and  weakness which the Israeli government is suffering from grows every day. The question is whether today’s circumstances are like the old days or will Israel find itself in war because of its government policy and get itself involved in a battle which will not be similar to its former confrontations?

Prime Minister Netanyahu’s government represents a collection of the extremist Israeli political parties. The extreme government refuses any kind of compromise regarding Israel’s conflict with Arabs. Instead since its first day the government worked on creating diplomatic crises with the Palestinians, Jordan, Egypt, Arab Emirates, Turkey, and recently European countries. The ideology is clear; Israel will never trust any plan which includes peace and compromise. Instead the army is trained to be ready for war, the Mossad is ordered to awake up its cells and launch assassinations around the world, and the policy of apartheid, settlements, and occupation is supported more than any time before.

In the Palestinian affairs, the Israeli government failed to accomplish any kind of improvement and it lost what could be its last opportunity to achieve peace with a Palestinian leadership. The Israeli activities in the West Bank and Jerusalem which includes more settlements, more prisoners and more assassinations are only creating a real risk on Israel. The Israeli dream of living in a Jewish state became an illusion and the binational state solution became more realistic than the two states one. The security of Israel becomes in more risk everyday while its government continues to attack Palestinian territories and recently religious sites.

The Israeli government is not satisfied with the damage which it caused to its people but instead continues to convince the Israeli people and lie to them that Israel’s security is in its best shape. The recent Israeli decision to consider several religious sites a part of a Zionist plan which considers them Jewish and wants to turn them into Jewish sites could be the sparkle which will launch a new third Intifada. This Intifada will be different from the former ones; it will be a religious Intifada that will put Israel under attack not only in the occupied territories or inside Israel itself but also will turn Israel into a target in the whole world. This is the exact result of the security plan which is supposed to bring peace for the Israeli people.

All of these results are not enough; the real risks which Israel is facing today are more complicated. Israel today is not only facing the Palestinian demand for freedom and independence. Israel today is facing the Iranian threat which will soon become a fact that Israel will have to accept. Iran is continuing its nuclear plans and the West and Israel are standing still with no solution in their hands. Israel’s policy and refusal to return the occupied lands to the Arabs made some of them become allies of Iran. This alliance which is well armed and prepared became a threat which is surrounding Israel from the north, the south, and the east.

Israel is used to solve any crises it faces by launching a “precaution” attack. The strategy used to be a military strike which turns all the playing cards in the Middle East. This strategy is unenforceable today; there are many enemies which Israel created for itself. This result is the best result which Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Israeli extreme thought brought to the Israeli people.
The idea of Israel as an undefeatable state with an army which intimidates the Arab world is not working anymore. The new Arab generations are growing up while witnessing Israel’s occupation and crimes against the Palestinians. The Israeli refusal to share the land and return the rights is only putting it in its worse places. The Israeli plan for security will not be valid for the end of time.

Israel’s policy which is famous for being the best in war industry is only causing damage for the security of the Israeli people. The continuous Israeli plan in occupying more lands, erasing the Palestinian and Arab marks and existence from their lands, and the continuous obstinacy to make any compromise for the sake of peace will take us all to a war which no one will be able to stop.
